Marbled Planter - Robin Egg
Wheel-thrown planter made from porcelain clay
The marbled effect is made by hand-tinting small batches of porcelain with different colors of mason stain, and then twisting those colors together as I throw the clay on the pottery wheel.
This style of ceramics is called agateware because of its likeness to the swirling inside of the semi-precious stone.
Clear, glossy glaze on the inside and outside
Footed bottom and a drainage hole
Approximately ½ 3 ¾ inches tall and 4 ½ inches wide
