Marbled Planter - Coral Twist
Wheel-thrown planter made from porcelain clay
The marbled effect is made by hand-tinting small batches of porcelain with different colors of mason stain, and then twisting those colors together as I throw the clay on the pottery wheel.
This style of ceramics is called agateware because of its likeness to the swirling inside of the semiprecious stone.
Clear glaze finish on the inside and outside
Footed bottom and a drainage hole
